Western New Mexico University Athletics

WNMU (2017): Vega started and played in 41 games compiling a .216 batting average, eight runs scored, 21 hits, two doubles, five RBI and 14 walks. She logged a season-high three hits against Cameron and added a two-hit game against Embry Riddle. Vega had a double against Hawaii Hilo and Eastern New Mexico. She walked twice versus Hawaii Hilo. Vega was named to the Lone Star Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll two semesters.

WNMU (2016): Vega played in four games, starting one as a true freshman. She tallied a run scored and a putout behind the plate. She played against Cal Baptist, Adams State, CSU-Pueblo and Fort Lewis, tallying her run scored against the ThunderWolves and her putout versus Fort Lewis.

High School: She played locally at Cobre High where she was named All-District in 2013, 2014 and 2015. All-State in 2013, All-South/New Mexico All-Star in 2015, Cobre Softball Defensive MVP in 2015, Under Armour All-American in 2014, Cobre Invitational All-Tournament Team in 2013 and Cobre Invitational Offensive MVP in 2014. As a team they were District Champions in 2013 and 2014, while also being New Mexico State Runner-Up in 2013 and 2014. She landed on the honor roll all four years and won the Wendy’s High School Heisman Award.
