Biography
Cochise: Cochise went 28-4 this past season, 19-3 in conference, advancing to the second round of the NJCAA tournament after besting Wabash Valley (96-75) in the opening round. Fields, a 5-foot-9 guard originally from El Paso, Texas, played at El Dorado High School. She played in 32 games this season, averaging 10.5 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game. She made 36 percent from the field and 31 percent from three-point range. Fields poured in a high of 18 points versus Arizona Western and Central Arizona and scored in double-digits in 20 games. She was named the Region 1 Championship Game MVP. During her freshman season, she played in 29 games averaging 5.5 points, 3.0 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game. She made 34 percent from the field. Fields poured in a season-high 16 points against Arizona Western. She had six games in which she scored in double-figures. Cochise went 23-8 and 17-5 in conference, advancing to the regional semifinal.
High School: While at El Dorado High she was a four-year letterman and starter averaging 11.8 points, 1.5 assists and 3.6 rebounds. She scored a career-high 25 points and added nine rebounds against Westlake. Fields tallied Horizon Tournament 2013 All-Tournament player, Byron Johnston Holiday Classic All-Tournament Team 2013, Second-Team All-City 2014, First-Team All-City 2015, Player of the Game Girls State Basketball Championship-6A 2015. She was named to the two-time El Paso Hot 100 All-City selection.
Fields spent time playing club for Elite Force earning two-time season co-MVP, selected to the USA Basketball 3X3 18U team and PBR All-American game selection in 2014.
