WNMU (2016): Salazar logged 84.2 innings in the circle during her first season with the Lady Mustangs. She added a 5.04 ERA, 8-5 record, 27 appearances, 13 starts, two complete games and 43 strikeouts. She couldn’t have started out her career any better as her 2-0 record, 3.20 ERA in 19.2 innings, along with 15 strikeouts to start the season with wins over nationally-ranked CSU-Monterey Bay and Oklahoma Panhandle earned her RMAC Pitcher of the Week honors. Against CSU-Monterey Bay she allowed just one earned run on three hits and added eight strikeouts in seven innings. Salazar tossed four shutout innings against UC-Colorado Springs and added another 2.1 innings of shutout ball versus Black Hills State.

High School: She played at Peoria High where she collected District 2 Second-Team awards all four years. She landed on the honor roll as well. She also played club for the Lil Saints.
