Western New Mexico University Athletics

WNMU (2017): Maldonado started all 48 games, compiling a .248 batting average, 13 runs scored, 36 hits, six doubles, three home runs, 21 RBI, six walks and a stolen base. She led the team in home runs and was second in RBI. Maldonado went for a season-high in hits with three twice against Texas Woman’s and Eastern New Mexico. Two of her home runs came at home versus UT Permian Basin and Cameron. She scored two runs against Cameron and her stolen base was versus West Texas A&M. Maldonado was named to the Lone Star Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll two semesters.

WNMU (2016): Maldonado saw significant playing time as a true freshman seeing action in 48 games, starting in 38. She compiled a .308 batting average with three home runs, 15 RBI, 12 doubles, a triple, 36 hits, 23 runs scored, 12 walks and a stolen base. She posted a three-hit game twice against Black Hills State and MSU Denver, her high in RBI with two came against three teams (Oklahoma Panhandle, MSU Denver and CSU-Pueblo). Maldonado had 10 multi-hit games and three multi-RBI games. She had a five-game hitting streak at one point during the season.

High School: Played at Cibola High in Albuquerque as she gained many honors. Second-Team All-District,
Second-Team All-State 2012-2013, First-Team All-District, First-Team All-Metro 2013-2014, Second-Team All-State 2014-2015, First-Team All-District 2014-2015 and First-Team All-Metro 2014-2015 all as a centerfielder. The team was state runner-up in 2012-13, fifth in 2013-14 and sixth in 2014-15. She also played for the club team New Mexico Sundancers 18U and made premier PGF Nationals from 2013-15.
