Biography

High School: Selected First-Team All-District cornerback his junior campaign at Austin High School in El Paso. He tallied 23 tackles (12 solo) as a junior with a pair of interceptions (including one for 66 yards and a touchdown), a fumble recovery (for 49 yards), along with two forced fumbles and six pass deflections. He missed his senior year with a knee injury. He was voted team captain both junior and senior year and also played wide receiver. He also was an outstanding track athlete, leading Austin to the district title, All-District and All-City choice in track, while winning the district in the 110 and 300 hurdles as a senior. He was a regional champion in the 300 hurdles, while placing third in the 110 hurdles. At state, grabbed sixth in the 300 hurdles and earned First-Team All-District recognition as part of Austin’s 4x400 relay. He was also named a captain of the Sandra Day O’Connor Academy. Following high school he was picked up by UTEP and redshirted his first year.

Grossmont: Following a year at UTEP, transferred to Grossmont College where he played two seasons and compiled three interceptions, 15 pass deflections and 18 tackles earning All-Conference honors his sophomore year.
 
WNMU (2014): He saw action in eight games, coming away with 11 total tackles, five solo stops, along with a pass breakup and one defended.
