WNMU (2014-15): Named to the Preseason All-RMAC Team.

WNMU (2013-14): She was named to the All-RMAC Second-Team after leading the Lady Mustangs in several categories including points per game (14), assists (134), steals (53), free throws made (106), field goals made (128) and minutes played per game (30.9), while starting in all 28 games. Newsome ranked high in several individual categories inside the RMAC including third in assists per game (4.8), 10^th in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.1), tied for sixth in steals per game (1.9) and 14^th in points per contest. She led the team in scoring in 10 games and she won two games late for WNMU, hitting a game-winner against Regis and a buzzer-beater at Eastern New Mexico. She reached double-digits in scoring 21 times, hitting a high of 28 against UC-Colorado Springs.

SOU: Newsome played at Southern Oregon where she averaged nine points per game, 2.8 rebounds, 80 assists and 56 steals in 30 games in 2011-12. She scored a high of 20 points against Warner Pacific. In her first season, she saw action in 31 games, averaging 3.9 points per game. She also had 41 assists and 21 steals.

High School: She was nominated an All-American, team was Region Champs in 2009 and 2010.
