High School: Played for Hawaii Preparatory Academy in Waimea, Hawaii. The 5-foot-11 outside hitter began early rolling up the accolades from her first year in high school when she was named to the League Honorable Mention Award. During her sophomore season she was named to the BIIF (Big Island Interscholastic Federation) First-Team. As a junior, after playing outside the first two seasons she moved to middle blocker where she was named Tournament MVP in an early preseason tournament. The team went undefeated and won the BIIF Championship. BIIF First-Team and Player of the Year BIIF-West soon followed. To close out her career, the team won another BIIF Championship and she was named to the First-Team BIIF, along with BIIF Player of the Year. The team qualified for State all four years and was selected as the MVP both junior and senior seasons. In addition, she was a star on the soccer field playing four years and helping the squad to claim three BIIF Championships and qualify for state all four years. She added Defensive Player of the Year honors in soccer as a senior.
 
NIC: She played in 27 of the NIC's 31 matches as a freshmen, averaging 1.23 k/s on .217 hitting efficiency.  Grap had a season high 8 kills on .400 hitting versus USU-Eastern during SWAC regular season play.  As a sophomore, she was named to the SWAC/Region 18 All-Conference Second-Team and was also named to the Region 18 Championship All-Tournament Team, where the team qualified for the 2013 NJCAA Championships.  At the NJCAA Championships, Leeta finished with 47 points (44 kills, 2 blocks and 1 ace). Leeta ended the season appearing in 116 sets, registered 385 kills (.196 eff), 284 digs, 27 blocks, and 24 aces for a total of 3.72 points per set.
