Silver City, New Mexico - The 2024 Volleyball season continued with the Western New Mexico Mustangs. In their home opener, they played West Texas A&M and fell 0-3 to the Lady Buffs.
West Texas A&M:
Jazmyne Walker (Las Vegas, NV/Legacy High School) and
Eimaya Medina (Las Cruces, NM/Centennial High School) led the offense for the Mustangs with eight kills each.
Eimaya Medina (Las Cruces, NM/Centennial High School) would spread the ball around the court nicely with 27 assists.
Jazmyne Walker (Las Vegas, NV/Legacy High School) and
Lilouann Bechec (Cannes, France) would each carry an ace of their own.
The back row of the Mustangs had a busy game as
Lilouann Bechec (Cannes, France) would lead the team with 12 digs.
Jazmyne Walker (Las Vegas, NV/Legacy High School) would lead with three block assists for the Mustangs.
Set 1
The Mustangs would start off strong against the Lady Buffs but would ultimately fall 19-25 in the first set.

Set 2
In set two, the Mustangs jumped out quickly but could not quite keep the momentum going losing the second set 20-25.
Lady Buffs 2, Mustangs 0.
Set 3
The Lady Buffs start off tough and continue to stay in the lead winning the set 25-26 against the Mustangs.
