Josh Pace to Step Down as the Head Coach of WNMU Women's Basketball Team

Silver City, NM - Western New Mexico Women's Basketball Head Coach, Josh Pace, has announced he will step down from his position with the women's basketball program.

"I would like to thank Scott Noble and Western New Mexico University for this opportunity." Said Pace.  "The women's basketball program took some real strides in my time here.  We had some amazing moments and I have no doubt that will continue."

In his four years, Pace achieved an overall record of 26-54 and a Lone Star Conference record of 14-45. Pace leaves for a position on the Women's Basketball staff of Division I and Sun Belt Conference member, Old Dominion University, that went 22-10 last season with an appearance in the Women's WNIT.

"I want to thank Josh for his unwavering commitment and contributions to WNMU Women's Basketball and Athletics." Stated Executive Director of Athletics, Scott Noble. "I wish him well in his new position and all his future endeavors."

A search for a new head coach will commence immediately.
