GOODYEAR, Ari. - The Western New Mexico University Men's Golf Team traveled to Goodyear, Ari. for the RJGA Palm Valley Classic hosted by Palm Valley GC. The Mustangs currently hold second place at (-20), 278-278-556.
Adam Niles (Kamloops, BC/Valley View Secondary HS) was scorching hot today, as he is T-1st at (-11), 67-66-133. Niles has eight birdies and two eagles through two rounds of play.
Arnav Arkanath (Milton Keyes, GB/Sir Henry Floyd HS) is close behind in 6th place at (-8), 70-66-136. Arkanath sunk 13 birdies so far.
T-15th is
Tomas Ribeiro (Porto Seguro, BR/Evolução Centro HS) at (-3), 68-73-141. Ribeiro was good six birdies and two eagles. Next up is
Joey Geary (Phoenix, AZ/Sunnyslope HS) at (+2), 73-73-146. Geary made three birdies and an eagle through two rounds. Rounding out the lineup is
Max Kaesebier (Bad Langensalza, Germany/Pierre-de-Coubertin Gymnasium), T-68th at (+4), 75-73-148. Kaesebier recorded an eagle with four birdies.
Individual
Jack Wadsworth (Plain City, UT/Fremont HS) is T-101st at (+13), 81-76-157. Wadsworth holed a singular birdie so far.
Colorado Christian leads the Mustangs by seven strokes (-27). WNMU holds a seven stroke lead (-13)Â on third place team St. Mary's.
Ron Kildall of Fort Lewis and Seth Bearden of Midwestern State are tied with Niles for first place at (-11).
The Mustangs will resume play tomorrow morning.
