SILVER CITY, NM – The Mustangs battled against Cameron today in a double header at the Yard. Though the Mustangs fought hard to stay in Game one, they would allow the Aggies to stretch the lead and ultimately win 5-9. Game two was a bit more exciting for WNMU fans as the Mustangs earned more runs, but Cameron would also take the second win 7-13.
GAME 1:

WNMU quickly answered back at their first At Ball attempt as Jenna Peters (Lake Elsinore, CA/Temescal Canyon HS) sailed the ball clear over centerfield for a 2-run score.

At bat first in the bottom of the 3rd was Ramona Fossum (Mescalero, NM/Mescalero Apache HS) who tacked on another HR for the season and brought in a second run along side of hers to cut the lead back to 1.
The Aggies could do no wrong today at the plate as the team once again crushed the ball over the fence in the 4th for a single run shot. Following the very next play, Creech would hit a solo HR for the Aggies. This put Cameron up at 7-4.
