SILVER CITY, N.M. - The Western New Mexico University volleyball team put on their first camp under new Head Coach Geno Frugoli, this past weekend.
On Friday the camp kicked off with the "Mini Mustangs" as kids from ages K-5 learned valuable skills on the court to begin their volleyball careers. Saturday was the position camp portion. Over 40 kids would be in attendance to better hone their skills. The camp would end on Sunday featuring several teams around the area competing in a team camp.
"I felt like the weekend was very successful in so many ways," said Frugoli. "Parents and Coaches in attendance were commenting on how great the instruction and staff were compared to bigger schools. It was important to all of us that everyone got something out of camp."
The team hopes successful camps like this will bring future success to the program for years to come.
