Joshuwan Johnson (Phoenix, AZ/Maricopa High School) would add 14 points including three from deep. After a slow start in the first half, the Coach Gibson would deploy a lineup of Johnson, Heath, Andres Andrade Rossi (Gran Canaria, Canary Island, Spain/The Phelps School), Lewis and Hohenstein to steady the ship. The lineup came in trailing by six and would proceed to go on a 14-4 run by deploying a 1-2-2 zone. The Mustangs would lead by as many as seven points before going into the half tied up at 29.

"We adjusted back to man in the second half because we wanted to give them a different look," said Gibson. "We didn't want them to get comfortable against any one particular defense."

In the second half the Mustangs and Greyhounds would take turns trading leads until back-to-back 3s by Johnson would open the lead up to 10 points. This would lead to a 19-4 run by the Mustangs before the Greyhounds called timeout with 4:27 left in the game.
