Lawton Okla- The Western New Mexico University Women's basketball team travels to Cameron University for an afternoon matchup. Aggies come out on top with a final score of 43-54.
Diamond Moore (Colorado Springs, CO/Harrison High School) was WNMU's lead scorer for the night shooting 71% ending with 11 points. Susi Namao would add 10 points for the Mustangs.
Turnovers would ultimately be the difference in the game. Mustangs finish with 27 turnovers compared to the Aggies with 14. Mustangs were able to out rebound Cameron 45-37. Diamond Moore (Colorado Springs, CO/Harrison High School) would be very successful on the boards.
The Aggies bench had five points, while the Mustangs had eight. Both teams scored in the paint. CAM had 26 in the paint and the Mustangs had 20.
Korie Allensworth finishing with 21 points would be the Aggies lead scorer for the night. Kiara Lovings (13).
Mustangs will be on the road January 12th to face West Texas A&M University in Cameron, TX.
