Odessa, TX- The Western New Mexico Women's basketball team hit the road once again to face the University of Texas at Permian Basin. The Falcons would land the win against the Mustangs with a final score of 74-52.

Susi Namoa (Lahaina, Hawaii/Lahainaluna High School) would lead for the Mustangs with a total of nine points.
Sydney Wright (Houston, Texas/Henley High School) and
Diamond Moore (Colorado Springs, CO/Harrison High School) would both finish with eight.

The Mustangs having a slow first quarter would give UTPB the upper-hand the rest of the game. Ending the first quarter 19-7 the Falcons would then grab a huge lead going into halftime with a score of 42-20. WNMU coming out of halftime would outscore the Falcons 20-29 then almost tie in the fourth with a score of 13-12.

Mustangs would shoot 19-of-51 (37.3%) from the field, 6-of-22 (27.3%) from the three-point line, and 8-of-12 (66.7%) from the free-throw line. WNMU would also end the night with 28 rebounds, 8 assists, 14 turnovers, and 2 steals.

Avalon Munoz would lead for UTPB with 17 points, Morgan Helgesen (13), Makayla Bingley (12).
Mustangs will face Angelo State University, Saturday the 28th and 12:00 PM MT.
