Canyon, TX- The Western New Mexico University Women's basketball team was on the road once again to face opponent Texas A&M University. The Mustangs made some noise this evening putting up a close game to #20 Lady Buffs. West Texas would gain the win for the night with a final score of 73-66.

Diamond Moore (Colorado Springs, CO/Harrison High School) would put up impressive numbers once again going 8-of-13 from the field and 4-of-6 from the free-throw line for a high of 20 points, adding nine rebounds.
Brooke Rodgers (Phoenix, Arizona/Cactus Shadows High School) would add to the Mustangs offense ending the night with 16 points and five rebounds.
Sydney Wright (Houston, Texas/Henley High School) would also be in double-figures with 12.

WNMU would shoot 28-of-69 (40.6%) from the field and 7-of-10 (70%) from the free-throw line. The Mustangs would also end the night with 34 rebounds, 6 assists, 9 turnovers, and five steals.

Karley Motschenbacher was the lead scorer for the Lady Buffs with 22. Nyalam Thabach (15), Zamorye Roberts (13). Taylor Lauren (10).

The Mustangs will be back in action Saturday January 14
th at 12:00 PM against Lubbock Christian University.
