Goodyear, AZ - The Western New Mexico University Men's Golf team finished hosting their 17 team tournament, the RJGA Palm Valley Classic, at the Palm Valley Golf Course. At the end of three rounds and two days, the Mustangs finish in 9th place with a final scorecard of 870 (291-297-282) and shot +6 to par.
Mustang 
Joey Geary (Phoenix, AZ/Sunnyslope HS) finished the tournament with a solid two days earning second place. The Phoenix native shot -9 to par and shot a total score of 207 (71-67-69). 
Adam Niles (Kamloops, BC/Valley View Secondary) finished the tournament in T-21st, shooting +1 to par with a total score of 216 (68-75-73). Placing in T-67th, Mustang 
Aaron Perales (Deming, NM/Deming HS) shot +11 throughout all three rounds and carded 227 (77-75-75). Placing nine rankings higher than day one, Yong Tu Kim ended in T-67th, shooting +11 to par, and had a final score card of 228 (76-80-72).
Individual 
Arnav Arkanath (Milton Keyes, GB/Sir Henry Floyd HS) finished in T-94th with a scorecard of 244 (7979-86) and shot +28 to par throughout the two days. 
Adam Samnegard (Norrkoping, SWE/Hagagymnasiet HS/Garden City CC) placed 98th with a total od 144 (76-68) out of two rounds and shot -4 to par. 
First place for team rankings was #15 Midwestern State University shooting -20 to par and a total of 844 on their scorecard. Second place was filled by Colorado State-Pueblo shooting a total score of 856 and -8 to par. Fort Lewis College finished in third place ending -3 to par and carded 861. 
Jake Doggett from Midwestern State University took home first place by one stroke shooting -10 to par throughout the three rounds and a total score of 206. Mustang 
Joey Geary (Phoenix, AZ/Sunnyslope HS) earned second place by shooting -9 to par and a total of 207. Third place was tied by CSU San Bernardino's Mark Wiliams who carded 209 and shot -7 to par and Tiaan de Jager from Lubbock Christian University with the same score.
