Box Score PHOENIX, ARIZ.- The Western New Mexico University Men's basketball team finished up their two-game stint with SAGU American Indian. The Mustangs would finish the sweep of the Warriors with a 69-62 victory.

Three Mustangs managed to finish in double-figures. Olamide Pederson lead the Mustangs in scoring with 16 points on 7-10 from the field. Keith Littles (Augusta, GA/) and Tony Avalos (Las Cruces, NM/Onate HS) chipped in 14 points each.

The turnover battle and free throw line provide to be the difference makers for the Mustangs. WNMU forced the Warriors into 20 turnovers compared to 12 from the Mustangs. The Mustangs shot nearly perfect from the line going 15-16 (93%) compared to SAGU's 10-12 (83%).

The Warriors did out shoot the Mustangs from behind the arc 8-26 (31%) compared to the Mustangs 4-14 (28%).

On the glass Pedersen snagged a game-high nine rebounds. Emmanuel White (Katy, TX/) added five boards as well. Pedersen managed another great game protecting the rim with three blocks.

After one half of play the Mustangs led 36-22 over the Warriors. SAGU would outscore the Mustangs in the second half 40-33, but it would not be enough as the Mustangs would be victorious, winning 69-62. WNMU would shoot a 54% clip compared the 46% from SAGU.

Four Warriors managed double figures on the Mustangs. Harley Upton finished with a game-high 18 points. Vincent Prince added 15 points. Reggie Mickens-Orr chipped in 12 points. Keyshawn Celestino-Clyde finished with 10 points.
