Las Vegas, NM- The lady Mustangs hit the road to Las Vegas New Mexico to compete in a two-day conference challenge. On day one the Mustangs played against New Mexico Highlands where they came up just short with a final score of 64-55.

The Mustangs allowed the Cowgirls to get a big lead in the first quarter ending the first with a score of 18-5.
Bria Reed (Houston, TX/Clear Creek High School) would be the spark of the offense this first quarter scoring four of the five points. After the first quarter the Mustangs gain some momentum where they outscore the Cowgirls the second and fourth quarter. Ultimately the big lead NMHU would take in the first quarter would have the Mustangs trailing all game.

Sydney Wright (Houston, Texas/Henley High School) would lead the Mustangs ending the game with 17 points, and seven rebounds.
Diamond Moore (Colorado Springs, CO/Harrison High School) would also have a hot hand for the Mustangs shooting 50% giving her 15 points. WNMU out rebounds the Cowgirls 38-31 having three girls end the game with seven rebounds.

The Mustangs will be back on the court Saturday November 12
th at 4:00 PM MT for the second day of the Conference Challenge.
