Â
From the jump both teams came out playing very aggressive forcing many turnovers from the start. The first half was rough for the Mustangs as they seemed to be struggling to hit their shots from outside the arch. Coming off the bench Freshman

WNMU starts heading to the paint looking for those easy buckets, going to the line 7 times in the first half. Playing aggressive not only offensively but defensively forcing the Lopes to 14 turnovers going into halftime.
Â
Coming out of halftime the Mustangs look to be playing more comfortable. Freshman
Larissa Laborin (Las Cruces, New Mexico/Centennial High School) playing crucial minutes for WNMU would score back-to-back layups to start quarter three. The Mustangs play a great third quarter where they outscored the Lopes 20-18. WNMU went to shoot 50% from the field and the three-point line in the third quarter. Sophomore
Brooke Rodgers (Phoenix, Arizona/Cactus Shadows High School) had a spark in the fourth quarter scoring eight points. Rodgers ended the game with 10 points and six rebounds.
