Jazmyne Walker (Las Vegas, NV/Legacy HS) was the offensive and defensive leader this morning. Walker finished seven kills and 6 digs. Senior
Madelynn Culp (Vancouver, WA/Union High School) was the Mustangs' assist leader for the second day in a row with nine assists.
In set one the Mustangs kept pace with the Pioneers before calling timeout trailing 12-7. The Pioneers would ride that moment and never look back, taking a 25-20 set one victory.
Pioneers 1, Mustangs 0.
Set two was all Pioneers as they jumped out a quick 10-4. They would ride that moment to end, winning set two 25-8.
Pioneers 2, Mustangs 0.
The Pioneers would keep their foot on the gas for set three, taking a commanding 10-1 advantage on the Mustangs. That lead would prove to be insurmountable, as the Mustangs would fall 25-5, losing the match 3-0.
The Mustangs will be back in action on October 28th against West Texas A&M (6:00PM MT) at Drag's Court.
