Unger Steps Down as Women's Basketball Head Coach

SILVER CITY, N.M. -- Women's basketball head coach, Lauren Unger, has decided to step down at Western New Mexico University, announced tonigh by Director of Athletics Scott Noble.

"Coach Unger handed in her resignation Saturday evening" stated Noble. "She has represented WNMU and our women's basketball program in a positive way. We appreciate her efforts and commitment to Western New Mexico University, the program and to our student-athletes over the past four years."

Coach Unger has compiled a 13-69 (.155) conference, and a 24-76 (.240) overall record as the head coach at WNMU.
