St. Mary's, St. Edward's Await Mustangs for Final Road Series

SAN ANTONIO / AUSTIN, TX – Before having the luxury of being home for the final two weeks of the season, the Western New Mexico women's basketball team hits the road for one final time. The Rattlers of St. Mary's await the Mustangs on Thursday, before heading to St. Edward's on Saturday for an afternoon match up.

ST. MARY'S RATTLERS (11-10, 10-7 LSC)
Coming off back-to=back triumphs, the Rattlers have found some success in their inaugural season with the Lone Star Conference.
Junior, Soteria Banks is the main offensive threat for St. Mary's, averaging 17.2 points per contest, to go along with 4.3 rebounds. Fellow Junior Hannah Wilson, matches her offensive efforts with 10.7 points per game, just shy of a double-double with 9.5 rebounds. Wilson needs just one more rebound to hit the 200 mark for the season.

ST. EDWARD'S HILLTOPPERS (13-9, 9-8 LSC)
It has shaped out to be a roller coaster season for the Hilltoppers as they enter Saturday's match up with a pretty even conference record, but have held their own against top opponents. Early on they stole a win over a ranked West Texas A&M team, but have since dropped all their following meetings against ranked opponents.
Graduate forward, Deijah Blanks is nearly unstoppable for the Hilltoppers, soaring above her teammates with a 20.2 points per game average. Shooting at a .449 clip from the field, the San Diego native has only been held to single digits twice this season, recording 14 games with 20 or more points.
