Ramsau, Austria -- Former Mustang Calum Hill continued his strong play as he won his second tournament on the European Challenge Tour Sunday with a four-shot victory in the Euram Bank Open in Ramsau, Austria. The 2016 NCAA Championship runner-up carded rounds of 65-64-67-66 to cruise to victory around the par 70 Golf Club Adamstal.
Hill made just three bogeys in the four rounds and led wire-to-wire. The 24-year-old WNMU grad brought a three-shot lead into the final round and was briefly tied after just three holes by England's Matt Ford, but Hill continued his flawless play and posted a brilliant bogey-free 66 in the finale as his competitors couldn't keep up with his torrid pace.
Coupled with last week's stellar performance in the ASI Scottish Open, Hill has rung the cash register for more than $100,000 in 14 days, and has moved up to 8th place in the Challenge Tour standings. The top 15 players will secure a spot on the lucrative European Tour for the 2020 season.
Hill gets to stay at home this week with family and friends before heading to Finland for the Vierumaki Finnish Challenge on August 1.
