Four Incoming Football Student-Athletes Recieve Scholar- Athlete Award

Tucson, AZ -- The National Football Foundation - Southern Arizona Chapter announced the 12 recipients of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame Scholar - Athlete Award last week, four of which have signed to play for Head Coach Frank Tristan and the Mustang Football team.

CJ Franks, Thomas Lares, Wyatt Jeffries and Thomas Webb were among the recipients receiving a $1,000 scholarship to continue their playing careers at Western.

The selection of the recipients were based on a criteria that focused on academic achievement, citizenship, and athletic efforts. One of the honorees will be nominated for the National Football Foundation National High School Scholar Athlete-Award. The recipient will be recognized in December at the 62nd Annual National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame Induction Dinner in New York City.
