Silver City, N.M—The Mustang football team hits the road again this week traveling to Moscow, Idaho for a non-conference matchup against the University of Idaho. Kickoff is set for Saturday (Sept. 8) at 2:00 p.m. (PT).

Frank Tristan and the Mustangs traveled to San Diego last weekend for their annual season opener against the University of San Diego Toreros. The Toreros would come out strong, scoring 28 of their points in the first quarter alone.
Junior
Ignacio Correa (Midland, TX/Midland) put the Mustangs on the board just before halftime with a 35-yard field goal.
Kourde Roberts (North Las Vegas, NV/Legacy) contributed an 82-yard touchdown early in the third quarter. Roberts finished the game with 99-yards receiving.
The Toreros would score twice more before the end of game, taking the season opener by a score or 38-9.
Looking Ahead: The Vandals kicked off their season last weekend when they took on the Fresno State Bulldogs. Idaho would score once in the first quarter and again in the third, but were no match for the Bulldogs who scored 79 points in the season opener.
The Vandals committed seven turnovers in the loss.
This will be the first meeting between these two teams.
