Mustangs Set to Take on Texas A&M-Commerce

Silver City, N.M-- The Mustang football team returns home for their second to last home game of the season. Coming off a loss to in-state rival, Eastern New Mexico last weekend, the Mustangs have the tall task of taking on the defending National Champions, Texas A&M- Commerce this weekend.

LOOKING FOR THE W
- After dropping last week's meeting with the Texans of Tarleton State, the Lions look to get back in the win column entering the matchup 5-2 overall, and 3-1 in the Lone Star Conference.
- While the Lions look for redemption, the Mustangs look for their first win of the season, 0-6 on the season and 0-4 in conference play with three weeks left in the season.

BRIGHT SPOTS
- Despite the record, the Mustangs are led by freshman Kourde Roberts (North Las Vegas, NV/Legacy), who currently ranks eighth in the conference with 33 receptions, 338 yards and three touchdowns with a long of 82, averaging 64.7 yards per game.
- Senior, Evan Beebe (Chula Vista, CA/Mater Dei Catholic) comes in at #12 in the offensive conference standings with 25 receptions for 305 yards and two touchdowns on the season.
- Justin Harris (Temecula, CA/Chaparral), enters the game fifth in the conference with 183 kick return yards.
- Defensively, Junior James Lee (Bayard, NM/Cobre) ranks seventeenth overall in tackles, #4 in tackles for loss, and #2 overall in sacks with 5 on the season. He currently has 27 solo tackles, and 14 assisted.

Kickoff is set for 12 p.m.(MT) at Ben Altamirano Field.
