Box Score Western New Mexico's time to get that elusive win is running short in the current campaign and powerful Metro State, ranked No. 7 in the USA Today DII basketball poll, didn't let the long road trip get the best of them as they ran past Western 77-42 Friday night at Drag's Court. Western, who lost their 23^rd game of the season, never led. Metro  moved to 22-2 overall and 18-2 in the RMAC.

The Mustangs managed just 27 percent from the floor while the Roadrunners shot 50 percent. Metro out-rebounded their hosts 50-28.

Morgan Wohltman led WNMU with 10 points.

Kristen Valencia was Metro's scoring leader with 12 points in a game that saw every MSCD player get at least 14 minutes of playing time.

The Mustangs close out their home season Saturday as Regis comes to town. Game time is set for 5:30pm.
