Junior Amanda Tucker
Fort Lewis continued their leisure trip through the RMAC's women's basketball schedule with an easy road win, 87-60, at Western New Mexico Friday on Silver City's Drag's Court . The 19-1 Skyhawks made easy work of the Mustangs leading 39-29 at the intermission and improved their position to the final margin of 27. WNMU fell to 1-19 on the season.

WNMU managed just 39 percent from the floor while Fort Lewis shot just a notch under 50. The Skyhawks owned an impressive 42-26 advantage on the boards and went 20 for 25 from the charity stripe in the second half.

WNMU got 15 points each from Jaleesa Russell (Albuquerque, NM, Sandia High School) and Amanda Tucker (Las Cruces, NM, Mayfield High School) while Christa Kennedy (Soldatna, AK, Soldatna High School) chipped in 11.

Fort Lewis was led by Abby Jackson's 21, but Dana Schreibvogel also was impressive with 20.

Adam State heads to chilly Silver City Saturday night.
