It was a big night for the seniors Saturday night. Lauren Wells (Agoura, CA, Agoura High School, Santa Barbara City College) had 17 points while Christa Kennedy (Soldatna, AK, Soldatna High School) and Kristina Barr (San Diego, CA, La Costa Canyon High School, Central Community College) each had eight rebounds. The only thing missing was a win. New Mexico Highlands came out on top by a close margin, 57-54.

WNMU concludes their season with a 1-25 record (1-21 RMAC). The Cowgirls end their season as well with a solid improvement of 14-16 (9-13 RMAC).

The Mustangs had a three-point advantage, 52-49, with 3:17 left to play, but three straight baskets plus a free throw by Highlands pushed them ahead for the victory.

The two teams combined for 36 turnovers in the battle for the ball. 

Jaleesa Russell (Albuquerque, NM, Sandia High School, --) was WNMU's second highest scorer with 12 points. Highlands' Alyssa Lopez led all scorers with 18.
