WNMU was hoping to get off of that stubborn one win Saturday night at Regis, but it will have to wait until their final game of the season next Saturday because the Mustangs were shut down by the Rangers, 87-65.
WNMU's
Kim Clark (Santee, CA, West Hills High School) scored the first seven Mustang points to give the purple and gold their only lead of the game. Regis then scored one bucket right after the other to jump ahead by 22 at the half, 53-31.
The Regis lead accelerated to 28 in the second half before closing at the final 22-point decision.
WNMU committed 21 turnovers in the loss.
Clark finished with 15 points to lead all scorers.
Amanda Tucker (Las Cruces, NM, Mayfield High School) and
Jaleesa Russell (Albuquerque, NM, Sandia High School) each chipped in with 13.
