Mustangs Drop Road Tilt To Skyhawks

The WNMU women's basketball took on an undefeated, No. 3-ranked Fort Lewis Skyhawks team Saturday night and struggled to find the basket throughout the game. Shooting only .143 on the night, the Mustangs managed to put only 27 points on the scoreboard. The Skyhawks, meanwhile, was .507 from the field and sank a huge 86 points.

This was the largest margin loss this season for the Mustangs. On a brighter note, WNMU was able to hold the Skyhawks to only .143 from the three-point line.

Fort Lewis improves to 14-0 on the season and 9-0 in RMAC play as the Mustangs are nearly opposite at 0-14 this season and 0-10 in conference action.

Jaleesa Russell (Albuquerque, NM, Sandia High School) had nearly half of WNMU's points with 12. Eight of those credits were from the charity stripe. Morgan Wohltman (Queen Creek, AZ, Highland High School, Idaho State University) followed with five points.

Fort Lewis' Dana Schreibvogael led all scorers with 15. Time was shared among 10 Skyhawk players. No one played more than 25 minutes and less than 12.
