Cold Shooting Hurts WNMU

Freshman Kim Clark
The Mustangs struggled at their shooting game Saturday night at CSU-Pueblo. Shooting only .267 from the floor and .529 from the free throw line, the Mustangs went over 10 minutes, spanning from the first half to the second, without a field goal. The ThunderWolves cruised to a 67-43 victory.

The two teams kept things close for the first 10 minutes of the game, but CSU-Pueblo (12-7, 9-6 RMAC) then went on a 21-4 run to close out the half. The score read 36-16 in favor of the home team at half.

Things didn't get much better for the Mustangs. The ThunderWolf lead swelled to as many as 32 with 13:45.

WNMU (1-18, 1-14 RMAC) did not have a single player post double figures. Morgan Wohltman (Queen Creek, AZ, Highland High School, Idaho State University) led the way with nine points, but she did not get a single board. Mariah Peralta (Mule Creek, NM, Cliff High School) and Kim Clark (Santee, CA, West Hills High School) each registered six rebounds.

CSU-Pueblo's Rachel Espinoza had a game-high 21 points and five assists.
