WNMU keeps moving up the RMAC standings. The Mustangs completed an RMAC weekend sweep Saturday night with their 86-69 victory over Chadron State in Silver City.

WNMU is now 7-12 on the season and a solid 7-5 in the RMAC. 

Chad Carter (Tucson, AZ, Ironwood Ridge High School) led all scorers with 22 points after going 10 for 19 from the field. Andy Sohlich (Battle Creek, MI, St. Phillip Catholic Central High School, Western Texas Community College; Eldon Academy Prep) lagged behind by just one point with 21. Jeron McIntosh (Albuquerque, NM, La Cueva High School) finished with 13 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists. Juan Suarez (Nogales, AZ, Nogales High School) also shared the ball well. He too recorded seven assists.

WNMU shot .425 from the floor and .833 from the freebie line. Chadron did slightly better from the floor with .468, but they really struggled from the charity stripe as they connected on only 9 of 19 attempts.

For the Eagles, Moala Tautuaa led with 18 points.
