Orediggers Bury Mustangs 43-0

Senior Jordan Dancer
The Mustangs gave up 587 yards and produced only 193 yards themselves against the Colorado School of Mines Saturday afternoon. The Orediggers blanked WNMU, 43-0.

Colorado School of Mines improves to 3-1 overall (2-0 RMAC) while the WNMU Mustangs fall to 1-3 overall (0-2 RMAC).

CSM went to the air 64 times in the game for 473 yards and five touchdowns, forcing the WNMU secondary to see much of the defensive action. WNMU's Jordon Dancer (Peoria, AZ, Peoria High School, Jamestown College) led the team in tackles with ten. He also caused the lone CSM interception of the day. Jacob Cross (Bakersfield, CA, Centennial High School, Bakersfield Junior College) finished the day with eight tackles.

WNMU's offensive line had much difficulty holding their line and protecting their two quarterbacks, Chris Voller (Albuquerque, NM, Valley High School) and Antoine Young (Oakland, CA, Encinal High School, Chabot College). The two playmakers were sacked nine different times for 52 yards. Voller finished the day with 10 completions on 24 attempts for 112 yards. Young completed four passes for 50 yards. Each had one interception.

CSM scored at least one touchdown in every quarter, but the WNMU defense held the Orediggers to 14 points in the second half compared to the 29 in the first.
