The Mustangs improve to 10-6 in conference action after a win over the No. 1 team in the RMAC West, Mesa State, Saturday evening. On senior night, seniors Natali Murdock (Phoenix, AZ, Pinnacle High School), Schalicia Degase (Truth or Consequences, NM, Hot Springs High School), and JoBeth Erling (Coal Valley, IL, Moline High School, Augustana College) put on a showing as they swept the competition, 3-0 (25-22, 25-19, 25-22).

Murdock hammered a match-high 16 kills, hitting .316 in the three sets. She also recorded three service aces. Degase recorded a team-high 13 digs while Erling pitched in with one assist and two digs.

WNMU put up seven blocks in the victory. Jordan Johnston (Boise, ID, Centennial High School) was credited with one solo block and five block assists.

Freshman setter Alyssa Meihack (Fallon, NV, Churchill County High School) notched 34 assists.

For Mesa State, Meagan Bosch had 12 kills while Whitney Howard had 19 defensive stops.
