The Mustangs remain in the hunt for one of the final spots of the conference tournament set for the middle of November in Kearney, Nebraska. On Friday, WNMU recorded 14 blocks and posted big numbers from outside hitters
Natali Murdock (Phoenix, AZ, Pinnacle High School) (18 kills, 6 errors, 47 attempts) and
Angelina Pulu (Long Beach, CA, Robert A. Millikan High School) (16 kills, 4 errors, 33 attempts) to defeat Adams State, 3-1 (23-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-16).
WNMU hit a solid .292 on the night to improve 10-9 overall and 8-6 in conference play. This was the second best hitting performance of the season – but by only .001. The Grizzlies fall to 7-14 overall and 4-9 in RMAC play.

Schalicia Degase (Truth or Consequences, NM, Hot Springs High School) led the Mustangs defensively with 24 digs while setter
Alyssa Meihack (Fallon, NV/Churchill County High School) recorded a double-double with 43 assists and 15 digs.
Jordan Johnston (Boise, ID, Centennial High School) and
Heather Rux (Cottonwood, AZ, Mingus Union High School) plugged up the net as they each tallied six blocks.
Ziona Verhulsdonk (Kailua, HI, Hawaii Preparatory Academy) did her part with five blocks. She also put together strong hitting numbers with her nine kills and only one hitting error.
Adams State had two players record double-doubles. Mary McNeil tallied 46 assists and 12 digs while Megan Tapia had 13 kills and 11 digs.
