It took three quick sets over the Western State College Mountaineers for the Mustangs to gain their fourth win in a row. Scores went 25-20, 25-16 and 25-20 in favor of the Mustangs. WNMU is now 7-7 overall and an impressive 5-1 in the RMAC. Western State falls to 3-11 on the season and 3-3 in conference play.

Natali Murdock (Phoenix, AZ, Pinnacle High School) finished off the weekend with 19 kills on 41 attempts for a .293 hitting percentage. Freshman
Ziona Verhulsdonk (Kailua, HI, Hawaii Preparatory Academy) was nearly perfect in the hitting category. She committed only one hitting error on the night while posting 11 kills.
Defensively, the Mustangs prevented any one Mountaineer from recording double-digit kills. WNMU's libero,
Marilee Frost (Long Beach, CA, Robert A. Millikan High School), posted a game-high 16 digs. Junior
Schalicia Degase (Truth or Consequences, NM, Hot Springs High School) followed with her first double-digit night of her career. She tallied ten digs.
Senior leader
Ellen East (Pomerene, AZ, Benson High School, Yavapai Community College) handed out 40 assists.
