Davis had a big play on special teams, along with an interception against Texas A&M-Kingsville to help him earn Lone Star Conference Special Teams Player of the Week. He set the tone for WNMU right away as he blocked a punt attempt and then returned the block 20 yards for a touchdown for the early 7-0 lead four minutes into the contest. He also had an interception before halftime, a solo tackle and a pass broken up. He is second on the team in tackles with 65, including tying for the team lead in solo stops with 41. He leads the team in passes defended with seven and is tied for the team lead in interceptions with two.
