Junior Audra Major (Socorro, NM) was named this week’s RMAC West Division Player of the Week. This was Major’s second Player of the Week honor. Major posted her sixth double-double of the season after she tallied 25 points and 12 rebounds in a 72- 62 home win over Regis Saturday night. In a loss on Thursday to Metro State, she posted 14 points, three steals, eight rebounds and two assists. Major averaged 39.5 minutes, 19.5 points and 10 rebounds in the home split. Major, who led the Mustangs in both points and rebounds this past weekend, has led the team in scoring in all but three games and has led the team in rebounds in 7 of 13 games. She shot .429 from the floor last weekend while the team shot .340. She shot 35 percent of the team’s free throws. As a team, the Mustangs shot .760 from the line.
