WNMU Mustang John Means (Glendale, AZ), along with two other RMAC representatives, earned a spot on the West Team for the Valero Cactus Bowl. A transfer student from Glendale Community College, Means finished the 2008 season with 996 yards on 60 receptions. He averaged 99.6 yards per game and 16.6 yards per reception in his 10 games played. He also posted nine touchdowns. At the conference level, Means finished first in reception yards per game, fourth in receptions per game, sixth in all-purpose yardage, and sixth in scoring. This season he earned a spot on the All-RMAC Second Team - Offense. In 2007, Means took up a slot on the Honorable Mention team.
