Perales climbed up the leaderboard on the final day of the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout thanks to his 70 that was tied for the best score of any golfer on the last round. He also added scores of 77 and 80 to card a 227 and tie for 12^th. He utilized solid par-five scoring of 4.73, third best and also added an eagle, as the Mustangs finished fifth ahead of three other RMAC schools in the field.
