Rodgers rushed for a season-high 222 net yards and a touchdown in the win against Adams State. The redshirt freshman carried the ball 32 times for an average of 6.9 per attempt. He is the first Mustang to rush for over 200 yards in a game for at least the past eight years. He also went over 1,000 yards which is the first time since 1998 when Anthony Gray rushed for 1,284 yards. He would have consecutive 1,000-plus seasons as he went for 2,220 in 1997. He is third in the RMAC in rushing yards as he has gone for over 100 yards in four straight games and five times overall this season. In addition he has added 25 catches out of the backfield for 298 yards and has a total of seven touchdowns, four on the ground. He was a runner-up for the RMAC Offensive Player of the Week award.
