VerrillĀ dominated this past week both on the offensive and defensive end and as a result was named Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week.
Verrill started the week against New Mexico Highlands posting 10 blocks, with two coming solo. She added eight kills and hit .667 for the game as WNMU rolled to the sweep. On the road against Adams State, she added five more blocks, with three coming solo. On offense, she recorded 10 kills and hit over .600 again with a .615. She was also an honorable mention for Offensive Player of the Week.Ā
For the season, Verrill leads the team in blocking with 96, which includes 20 solo. She is second on the team in kills with 165. She has added four assists, and 23 digs. She is sixth in the RMAC in hitting percentage (.332), and fourth in blocks.
