Hernandez led the way in several categories over the weekend as she was named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week. Against Adams State she scored a team-high 12 points, connecting on 6-of-9 and also had six rebounds, three assists, two blocks and three steals. She added a double-double in the win over Fort Lewis with 11 points and 11 rebounds. In that same game she added three steals, three blocks and a steal. She again shot well from the field making 5-of-9. For the week she led the team in minutes played (67), field goals made (11), field goal percentage (61.1), rebounds (17), blocks (5) and steals (6). The win over Fort Lewis was the first for WNMU in their last 16 tries. Hernandez has three double-doubles this season and averages 7.9 points and 8 rebounds per contest.
