Christian Serena (Scottsdale, AZ) led the Mustangs and Dixie State with 14 tackles (10 solo). He had one tackle for loss of 12 yards, defended one pass, forced one fumble and blocked one punt. He also had his hand in two scores for the Mustangs. Serena blocked a Rebel punt which forced the ball into the end zone resulting in a WNMU touchdown. On the next drive, he forced a DSC fumble which was recovered by teammate Tony Norman who ran the ball in for the Mustangs second score of the game. For all of this, he was named the RMAC/Rawlings Defensive Player of the Week.
