Kaci Lewis (Olympia, WA) batted .519 last week to help the Mustangs go 5-3 overall and 3-1 in league games. In four non-conference home games against Grand Canyon, Lewis went 7-for-14 with six runs batted in, five runs scored, three doubles, and two home runs as WNMU went 2-2 against GCU. She batted .538 against Chadron State and Nebraska-Kearney (at New Mexico Highlands), scoring five times and driving in four runs. For the week, she posted 10 runs batted in, 10 runs scored and four home runs. She went seven straight games without a strikeout (April 5-April 9). She has posted at least one hit in the last 14 games and has hit 14 home runs this season. The school record is 16 held by Meredith Drahota, which she set last year. Lewis has hit one home run in seven of the last 12 games.
