Whetten, a native of Sliver City, returns after serving as the volleyball strength coach at Pima Community College.
Prior to Pima CC, Whetten worked as the strength coach, boys basketball coach and volleyball coach for Rio Rico High School for two seasons (2022-24). She also made a stop at Walden Grove High School from 2014 to 2022, where she was also the strength coach, boys basketball coach and volleyball coach. In 2018 and 2019, Whetten Arizona Volleyball Region Coach of the Year.
Whetten also brings experience of playing at the collegiate level, as she played for The University of Denver. In 2003 she was named the Colorado Player of the Year. During the 2000 season she became a state champion at Silver High School.

She hopes to improve the mindset of our current athletes by building connections and challenging them to grow. Whetten has been apart of numerous community service initiatives such as hosting toy drives, visiting children’s hospitals, cleaning up trash, etc. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, working out and spending time with family.
