After a record-setting collegiate career, Adam Niles returns to Western New Mexico University as the Graduate Assistant Coach for Men's & Women's golf. A 2024 graduate and standout Mustang, Niles etched his name into the program’s history books by setting the all-time career scoring average of 71.46, surpassing DP World Tour winner Calum Hill’s previous mark of 71.72. He also claimed the top spot in the adjusted career scoring record with a 73.04, again eclipsing Hill’s 73.16.
A native of Kamloops, British Columbia, Niles capped off his four-year playing career with a victory at the Palm Valley Classic, and compiled an impressive résumé that includes nine top-five finishes, 14 top-10s, and 48 tournament appearances.
Equally accomplished in the classroom, Niles was a three-time GCAA Academic All-American, graduating with a 3.92 GPA and earning his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 2024. He is currently pursuing his MBA, with expected graduation in May 2026.
Now transitioning from player to coach, Niles brings elite competitive experience, academic excellence, and a deep understanding of Mustang golf to the next generation of student-athletes.
