Kristina Barr begins her third year as an assistant coach during the 2014 campaign with the Mustangs following an outstanding career at WNMU.

Barr opened her first year with WNMU in 2009 strong, setting single-season records in batting average (.480) and slugging percentage (.908). That same year, she also posted the second-best school marks in on-base percentage (.534), home runs (16) and total bases (138).

The honors poured in for the San Diego, Calif., native, including Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division II All-Central First-Team, Daktronics All-Central Region First-Team, Daktronics All-American Second-Team and All-RMAC First-Team.
She concluded her senior season leading the team in batting average (.416), played and started all 51 games, along with 11 doubles, 13 home runs, 50 RBI and a Second-Team All-RMAC honor as a shortstop.

In addition to her play on the field, she also displayed her outstanding athletic talents on the basketball court during the 2010-11 season. Barr played in all 26 games that season, starting 24, and averaged over 25 minutes per game, along with over four points a contest. She was also one of the top rebounders on the team, collecting 4.5 caroms per game.
Barr also pitched in when the cross country team needed help, running in the 2009 RMAC Cross Country Championships.
